About GFX

Version 1 Effective 18 September 2026 History

GFX is an electronics marketplace. Sellers, distributors and brands list on it. We run the platform, the shipping and the money — and we never own the stock.

Eight years before this page

We have been selling electronics in India since 2019. Thousands of orders, a return rate we were quietly proud of, and around a hundred brands and distributors who worked with us over that time. Cameras, audio, computing, storage, accessories — the categories where getting it wrong is expensive and customers ask real questions before they buy.

That business ran on a model where GFX sat between the customer and the stock. An order arrived, we passed it to whoever held the item, and we carried the risk that it was actually there. Most of the time it was. When it was not, the customer waited on us for an answer we did not have.

Eight years of that taught us the one thing this marketplace is built on: the person holding the stock should be the person making the promise.

So we rebuilt it

GFX today owns no inventory, rents no warehouse and takes no consignment. We do not buy from you and we will never ask you to sell to us first. You hold your stock, you set your price, you keep your customer relationship — and we do the parts that are tedious to build and expensive to get wrong.

This is not a smaller version of what we did before. It is the opposite arrangement, and everything on the platform follows from it.

What we built

Brand Registry. Every product on GFX belongs to a brand, and every brand has an owner — the brand itself, or its national distributor. Sellers link their listings to the registry entry rather than typing their own version of the product. A seller authorised by the brand carries an authorised seller badge; one who is not, still sells, and ranks below. If a brand is not on the registry yet, we create the entry as unclaimed and hand it over the day the brand arrives.

One product page, many sellers. A camera is one page with one set of specifications, not fifteen listings competing on who wrote the better title. Sellers attach offers to it. Customers compare price and delivery, not description quality.

Vayu, our shipping platform. We book the carrier on our own account and charge back exactly what the parcel cost — no markup, ever. Rates, allocation, labels, tracking and returns run through one system, and sellers configure how shipping works down to individual products. If you would rather ship it yourself, do that instead and we charge nothing.

Same-day delivery where it is possible. Stock sitting in a seller's shop in the same city should not take four days to travel ten kilometres. Where the seller, the product and the pin code allow it, the customer gets it the same day.

Warranty & Authenticity Vault. Serial numbers are recorded at dispatch and tied to the order. A customer can prove what they bought, when, and from whom — years later, without hunting for an invoice. For a category where grey imports and warranty disputes are routine, this is the part we are most proud of.

What we charge

One commission, agreed with you before you list anything and fixed for twelve months. It varies by category — thin-margin categories carry a lower rate, because charging a handset seller what you charge an accessory seller is not a pricing strategy, it is a way to lose handset sellers.

There is no listing fee, no monthly fee, no closing fee, no storage fee, no removal fee and no charge to be visible. We do not run an advertising auction you have to buy into to be found.

Our fee calculator shows the whole arithmetic against what you pay today, including the fees that do not appear on a headline rate card. It runs in your browser and nothing you type reaches us.

Who this is for

Brands and national distributors who want their catalogue represented properly and their authorised sellers identifiable. Retailers and resellers who hold real stock and keep it updated. Anyone who has been told that the way onto a marketplace is to sell your inventory to the marketplace first.

We are a small, self-funded team. That shapes what we promise: we would rather onboard fewer sellers properly than announce a number.

Talk to us

If you sell electronics in India and any of this sounds like the arrangement you have been looking for, we would like to hear from you. Tell us what you sell and we will tell you, honestly, whether GFX is a good fit yet.
