Report an Issue
Anyone can report anything on GFX — buyers, sellers, brands, or someone who has never used the platform. You do not need an account.
What to report
- A counterfeit or fake product
- A product a seller is not authorised to sell
- A listing that misrepresents what is being sold — wrong specifications, a different model, a grey import presented as an India-warranty unit
- A prohibited item — see Restricted Products
- Content that infringes your intellectual property — trademark, copyright, design or patent
- A safety concern with a product
- A seller's conduct — anything from a broken promise to something worse
If it is about your own order — a delay, a return, a refund — that is customer care, not this page. You will get a faster answer there.
What we need
Enough to find it. A link to the listing, or the product name and the seller name. "A camera listing that looked fake" is not something we can act on.
What is wrong with it, specifically. Not that it feels wrong, but what about it is wrong — the model does not exist, the serial does not match, the box was resealed, the brand does not sell this in India.
Anything that shows it. Photographs, the invoice, the packaging, what the seller wrote to you.
For an intellectual property claim, we also need evidence that you own the right and are entitled to act on it. The Intellectual Property Policy sets out exactly what to include; a report that arrives without it takes longer because we have to come back and ask.
What happens next
- We acknowledge within one working day with a reference.
- We review it. Where a listing is plausibly dangerous or plainly counterfeit, we take it down first and investigate afterwards — the seller can appeal, and a wrongly removed listing is a smaller harm than a counterfeit left up.
- We tell you the outcome. Where a report leads to action against a seller, we will not describe what that action was — that is between GFX and them.
Bad-faith reports
Reporting a competitor's listing to get it removed is not a clever tactic. We look at who reports what, a seller who does this loses the ability to report, and repeated abuse is grounds for suspension.
If you are reporting a competitor in good faith — which happens often, because sellers in a category know it best — say so. It costs you nothing and it helps us weigh it.
